Yom Kippur and WLS?

Hi everyone - trying to plan ahead for Yom Kippur next week - 26h of fasting (food and water).
Years past, I would stuff myself leading up to it, and then gorge at its end.
Now being about 3 months post-VSG, I need a new strategy. No way to overstuff myself before or after - for better and for worse!
Anyone with tips for a full-day fast after WLS?

Hydrate properly in the week leading up to the fast, Soup and Water prior and post.

Something to consider, but maybe start doing some fasting the days leading up to Yom Kippur. I have noticed the more I eat, the more hungry it makes me. The less I eat, the more controllable my hunger becomes

Do exemptions exist for medical reasons? It sounds risky for you this time around, not the food fasting... but the no fluids.

I am only 2 weeks out and my doctor told me I was not allowed to fast. I was a bit upset but not really surprised. I am not sure how this will be next year. Please let us know what you did and how it worked for you.

Exemptions are usually for the extremely I'll and fragile, I've recently fasted 20hrs (with fluids), going to start prepping with fasts without fluids leading up to the day, but it's totally doable
