30 second elevator interview

I'm 44 years old and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I have been a writer all my life but it doesn't feel like "enough" any more. I am the mom to five cats (yes, five!) because I have a heart of mush. My husband is my partner in crime. I have one tattoo but want sleeves. My favorite color is turquoise. I hallucinate upon waking. I love sharks, dinosaurs, and cephalopods. I am incredibly introverted but love new places and experiences.

I'm a 26-year-old, weird, and awkward paginator who would rather stay home and play video games than go out. I'm quiet and shy, but get to know me and you'll find someone who loves to laugh and make people smile. I love to be creative too by writing, drawing, and crocheting, even though I feel like I'm not any good at them. :)

You sound like someone I'd love to be friends with. :)

Have been telephone operator, Girl Friday in small office, worked in retail sales 11 years, Long Term Healthcare 25 years, loved people, loved making their lives better. So fun! I'm a 52-year-old mom of 2 (alleged) grown-ups. I am an avid horsewoman and dog-lover. I run 2 outpatient practice sites for a large academic health institution and am working on my Master's in Health Policy Administration. I have a pretty dry sense of humor and actually usually find humor in most situations!

Everyone here had/will have/strongly considering wls.
That means your weight is something that you think about.
A lot.
Let's take that out of the equation.
So minus talking about weight, briefly describe/pitch yourself...
I'm a 24 year old Mom of 3(4,3&2 Y/O). Been happily married for 6 years next month. I have a skill and love for Baking and I know I'm a strong woman. I've overcome Crazy Health things for someone my age (Like a Massive Stroke) And I want my kids to know that You can overcome anything. One day I'd love to be able to go back to school to be a L&D RN. I'm an Extrovert Turned Introvert yet I still have a way of Making friends with even the most self proclaimed "socially Awkward" people. I read CONSTANTLY, and Love pretty much any Genre. I'm bad about picking out flaws in movies that I watch yet amazing at Judging outcomes and endings. I'm also terrible with being "Short And to the Point". Sorry. Lol. Also, I have a Mini backyard farm and 99% of what I eat and Feed my family, We grow or raise. (Avacados take wayyy too long.)[emoji23]

I am a stunningly beautiful Brit with an IQ of 200, a mountain of gold doubloons and my own castle right next door to Buckingham Palace. The Queen is my BFF and she is always asking my advice about public speaking and borrowing my shoes.

I also have no difficulties separating fantasy from reality and am proud to say that I have never told a lie. 😉

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
