Chris:

As I said on the other posting, you look fabulous! I'm still wondering how you lost so much in six months though. Can you tell me about your exercise program?

Thanks. I have lost 81 since April, but was banded end of July. I cannot wait to be able to say I lost 137 pounds, but I'm guessing it will be next summer or fall before I can say that, but you watch me, cuz I'm going to do it!

Congratulations, and please tell me about your exercise routines.

Take care.

Sue

Wow!!!! Happy for you...now if I could just look that good.

I'll be 6 months in December and have only lost 20 pounds since being banded.

Thanks everyone !

I work out like 6 days a week. Mostly cardio 3-5 miles walking minimum.

I recently kicked in jogging and weight lifting 3-4 days a week with it.

I try to keep between 800-1400 max with the calories and switch it up every so often to play tricks with my metabolism. Generally I try and keep the carbs to a minimum and stay away from crap foods. I eat lots of grilled chicken breast and veggies. My weight has slowed a little the past month but I am noticing my clothes are fitting better.

No doubt you are the MOST aMAYzing bandster! You are really looking incredible!!! My 6 month anniversary will be here in less than a week and I'm very proud of how I've done so far, too. This is the best adventure I've ever been on! Keep up the great work, Chris!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
