Heifzilla 6 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) I’m self-pay, so no issues with insurance due to weight gain, thankfully. It is the time of year, every year, when I start to eat uncontrollably and gain weight. I have SAD, and It happens EVERY year between late August and late September as the days start to get shorter. I’m already up 5#, and I Can’t Stop Eating. My surgery is September 24, and I’m just so irritated, even though this is Just what I do this time of year. Anyone else have this problem? Much better than I used to be, but the seasonal eating has remained the same.

VSG is just one weapon in your armory. You may need several to help you in this battle as VSG cannot always be guaranteed to curb eating, change taste preferences and definitely not modify behaviors that are rooted in other causes. Reach out to your team and ask if there are support groups you can attend even prior to surgery to see what others are doing to win the war.
