How many cals do you eat at 5-6 Months

Recommended Posts

@Sleeve_journey_2018_uk To be honest, I have no idea how much I consume in a day. I don't track. That said, 1000-1200 seems about right for 6 months post op. Why are you concerned? Are you gaining? Another stall?

Not gaining but it's not going as fast as others, I lose half a llb a week fir the last 2 months (average) And I've been obsessing about people on instagram all eating 6 - 800 a day at my stage!! I don't think i could go that low without being hungry all the time?!

Mistake #1, don't compare yourself to anyone else, ever. Even identical twins won't lose at the same rate even if they did everything exactly the same. Just worry about what you are doing, if you are still losing and are hitting all your metrics... then stop stressing / worrying about it.

I weigh in daily as well. I track body fat as well as weight. It's easy to get flustered and frustrated. You just need to remember that, only you will lose and gain like you. That everyone else is on their own path/ride. Just worry about your own!

I'm only 5 weeks out. My plan has me eating 500-800. By 2 months, I can go up to 1000-1200.

I'm 6 months out and eat 800-1000 cal/day. The adviser at the hospital thinks I should be at 1000-1200, so it sounds like you're perfect.

I'm around 9 months having 1600 to 1800 with 200 to 250g of Protein. Carbs are still fairly low, likely around 100g

1100 to 1200 at 4 months for me, I would say you are right on target.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
