*MORE* Hair post op?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so this might be a little odd since pretty much all the posts about "hair" are about Hair loss, so far, a few weeks shy of 6 months and I haven't had any hair loss.

I have noticed *MORE* Hair or at least the appearance if more hair... body hair. Has anyone else noticed that their body hair appears to have increased? I read that it might be pore density, which sounds plausible at least, the whole, same amount of hair folicles/pores that are now closure together due to the weight loss.

Anyone else have any thoughts, insight, comments, experiences with the appearance of more body hair?

Weight loss causing changes in the male hormones that impact on Hair growth?

That's another potential! Reductions in estrogen from fat loss will cause the ratio of estrogen to testosterone to change.

I'll take Hair loss on my head, over a gain of body hair... any day. Thank you Matt for putting things into perspective.

Yep. That's my bet. More HGH, more testosterone and androgen production/release/conversion. Yippity dippity doo!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
