bigcurt 9 Posted October 13, 2018 @girlshrinking. Absolutely. Constipation on the pre op diet was normal. It was relieved by working in a good amount of Fiber though via like metamucil or benefiber. The headaches are often because of low sodium. Drink some broth, or take a couple bites of pickles is what my doctor said. 1 GirlShrinking reacted to this

I just had to show I could drink 4 oz of liquid and hour for six hrs straight before I could be released. Feeling ok, belly feels like I was stabbed 5 times lol. They have me liquid oxycodone which helps. Difficult to get into our out of bed but hopefully each day will get better. I’m going in on Tuesday! Good luck to you! 1 kathy060464 reacted to this

Tomorrow I start liquid only (4 Protein Shakes, Water, and Jello) and on Sunday I’m going to do Clear Liquids only. Good luck to everybody having surgery this month! Good luck! I’m going Tuesday! I have to do liquids on Monday only but I’ve been on the liver shrinking diet for almost two weeks. I’m down 12 pounds too! 1 1 Frustr8 and recreating_courtney reacted to this

I got confused with the hospital as they measured it by ml. So drank 4 of the medicine dosage cups.
Snaver 9 Posted October 13, 2018 Non Disclosure. My surgery date, is Oct 18. For personal reasons, I have chosen not to disclose to my family, or friends details about my surgery. My wife knows, and is fully supportive. For those of you that also chose to keep your procedure to yourself, I would appreciate any thoughts on dealing with questions, remarks from friends, or family members. Thanks. notmyname 593 Posted October 13, 2018 I’m not telling anyone other than my boss, a friend that has to drive me to/from the hospital, and my personal trainer. I plan to tell people what I’ve always told people - I appreciate your concern, but my weight and what I eat are my personal business. When asked again, I say thanks, but I’ve already said that’s personal. If someone doesn’t get the hint, I say I’ve already said I won’t discuss that and either change than subject or leave. For work people, I plan to say basically that they shouldn’t be discussing anyone’s body at work. This is all assuming I go through with it - which I say is about 50/50 right now. 1 1 Snaver and JessLess reacted to this

If they comment on your weight loss and ask how you did simply say you are eating healthier, more Protein, less carbs, no junk food and drinking lots of Water (which is or will be true!). No need tell them about your "secret tool". 2 JessLess and Snaver reacted to this
aapb79Gmail.com 69 Posted October 13, 2018 Wanting to see if anyone is experiencing what I am. I was sleeved on 10/1. My surgery was more involved as I had a large hiatal hernia that needed to be repaired and lots of scar tissue to be removed from previous lapband. All of that was unexpected. I am not in pain, sometimes uncomfortable but I am absolutely sick to my stomach. I am so nauseous all of the time and lightheaded. I am not getting as much in as I should but trying. I want to feel good. I wake up feeling ok and as soon as my feet hit the floor I want to puke! Anyone experiencing this.
Frustr8 7,886 Posted October 13, 2018 Unhuh and I am a month further out. GOOD news, I have lost over 37.6 pounds since the end of July, over 23 punds in the 6 weeks past surgery. Post yesterday's E.D.J. because I am a bypasser, can't get to my duodenum anymore, I have a stricture, 5 new ulcers, none bleeding yet, am stuck on a modified Stage 2 diet for at least 2 more weeks, and can't add any new foods. Now on Carafate & omeprazole along with Vitamins and minerals. Best of the murky waters,i did not experience any stall yet, I just keep losing. Should have read the manual better, I could swear this is NOT THE ARMY I VOLUNTEERED FOR! Frustr8 the semi-great

I'm doing the same thing. I'm telling people I had a medical procedure and also went on a medically restricted diet at first to explain having little containers of Protein Shake and such at my office. Later I will just tell people I'm eating less and exercising. All true, pretty much! I also like to ask people questions back, like "Why do you ask?" 1 TropicalBeachDoll reacted to this

If your doctor says it's OK I would take capsules of ginger, like 4 250 mg capsules a day. This really works for a lot of people. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
