October 2018 Sleevers

Recommended Posts

I'm just making it home from the hospital. Everything has been ok so far. Oh except for that sneeze I thought was going to kill me. I'm trying to get my Fluid in. I've already have 32 oz today. I'm going to try to drink this Protein Water so I can get a 2 for 1

Home today. Surgery was yesterday. I’m wondering when everyone starts their Vitamins? My doc said within the first two weeks but I’d like a more specific time frame than that.
I am on day 8 and started my chewy Vitamins today

My plan resumes Vitamins on Day 15, when puree' phase starts.

My doctor told me I can start taking my Vitamins after my post op visit in one week. Right now he only wants me to take omeprazole and promethazine for heartburn and nausea

My doc said to start taking Vitamins the next day I got home from surgery. So I had surgery on Tuesday, Oct 23rd and got home late Friday. I started taking vitamins on Sunday, the 28th. I am taking Calcium + D3, B-12, B-Complex, Multivitamins, Biotin, and L-Lysine.

Hi Ilhill I was done on the 23rd also! YAYAYAY so happy to have found this board 😂

Hey buddy! I am happy to have found it too. I am getting so many tips and tricks. There are a lot of threads that are so interesting to read as well! I've really been using the search function and have been finding that reading so many people's experiences are so helpful on my journey. Some are very inspirational!

Surgery date 10/8 , down 16lbs. I hit the dreaded 3 week stall this week but the scale finally moved today. I have a total food aversion to chicken. I'm cleared to eat it but I feel horrible after doing so... nauseous, gassy and in pain. Even when its soaked in gravy.

I was trick or treating last night with my kids and drinking Water while walking. Strangely enough, water went down super easy while walking. I'm sure it was because I was mobile, but I might try to take a bottle of water on a walk now and kill 2 bbn birds with 1 stone.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
