JessLess 1,163 Posted October 29, 2018 Just reporting in. I had my surgery 10/15. My doctor did it through my navel as I requested and I will have no scars or marks (I know they are tiny anyway). I spent 2 nights in the hospital and a very painful first week. The second week I worked from home and resumed some activities like washing my hair and being human. I'm tolerating lots of foods like mushed avocado, mashed potato, hummus, yogurt, and Protein Drinks. And since I know a lot of people wonder about going back to work, 2 weeks later I am at my desk job, tired but doing fine. My only stall far was Constipation related, I think. Considering all we go through to do this, I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

%^& 89 Posted October 29, 2018 Who is going into the Soup stage? Sleeved 10/23 and tomorrow is the big day for something besides a gross Protein Shake. What do you have figured out for Soups? Any easy homemade ones?
josh m 57 Posted October 29, 2018 I’m past that stage but a great Soup I liked was a curry butternut soup . Use Bone Broth and get 9 grams of Protein and u can use unflavored whey powder for more . 2 %^& and Beachladee3 reacted to this

What do you have figured out for Soups? Any easy homemade ones? Hi byefat! I was able to have blended Soups with my Protein Shakes. I made black bean Soup with Bone Broth. I also got a delicious lentil soup at Trader Joe’s and blended it up. It was very satisfying. Also, I took a can of progress low fat chicken noodle and blended that with some unflavored Protein Powder. It was so tasty! I found I wanted salty way more than sweet stuff! Good luck! 1 %^& reacted to this

I blended it with the can of Soup, then heated it. 1 %^& reacted to this

Chrissy C 51 Posted October 30, 2018 Well my surgery went well. I have a lot of pain. Maybe from the gas they put in. They gave me pain meds in recovery through IV but now they are giving me crushed pills. I'll be here in the hospital for two days. I did drink 3 oz of Water and didn't feel sick Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 cateckert reacted to this
