Just wondering? Does everyone experience this? I am reading and it seems most do. I am 2.5 months out and so far so good but everytime I shower I look to see if I see hair in the tub.

Not everyone, but it is very common. Congrats to you if you miss this side effect!

Is it because of not properly taking Vitamins or lack of nourishment that causes this?

Those are some of the hypotheses, also the stress of major surgery. But, to the best of my knowledge, they don't have a definitive answer. Most of the people on here were already taking Vitamins before their surgeries.

I take my Vitamins, I eat my Protein, and follow all the rules. I am two months out and my hair is already falling out. I'm pretty scared about it. I'm thinking of getting it cut, but I'm getting married in two months also.

I wish you well. This seems to be a normal situation but I haven't heard much about it from men. Also never once did my team mention it throughout my whole process. This concerns me. It seems it would be an important topic.

I have seen several men comment on it as well. I think it's just more noticeable when your hair is longer and you're pulling a gerbil-sized wad of hair out of the shower drain. :o

9 months post op and I’m still cleaning a wad of hair out of the shower drain at least one shower a week. When I get irked about it I try to remember I’m 5 lbs from goal and it’s just a pesky side effect that comes with the territory 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is the Hair loss noticeable to others? Or just when washing & styling your hair?

I'm tempted to cut back on how many times a week I was mine & just use the dry Shampoo.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
