FatBlocker 3 Posted September 3, 2018 I recently hit my 4 week post op date which has released me to introduce puréed foods. I’ve chosen healthy low carb choices and now I’m at a stall. Do you really continue to lose weight when you aren’t starving your body with Water and Protein Shakes exclusively? I guess I just don’t see how this works and am feeling discouraged. Just stick with your plan and the weight loss will start up again. 5 FatBlocker, Malcy, GreenTealael and 2 others reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted September 3, 2018 Of course it works. Look at my tracker below, or @Orchids&Dragons tracker, and tons of others. Stalls happen. They happen when you are perfectly on plan. Weight loss is not linear. You will need to focus on the big picture, I've lost X lbs this month, vs. I haven't lost any weight in two days. Perspective will keep you from going crazy. 5 Christabelle, GreenTealael, Leia and 2 others reacted to this
Malcy 132 Posted September 3, 2018 I am glad you posted this question. I am 1 month post op and am in a stall also. I'm feeling a little anxious about moving into soft foods. 1 FatBlocker reacted to this
J San 1,071 Posted September 3, 2018 Don't let the weight control your emotions. You will stall, slow down, plateau and gain. Your taking in food now not just liquid so your body has to adjust. Don't eat less or stick to liquids because your body will go into starvation mode and you'll stop losing for sure. 4 1 ChellNC, FatBlocker, Malcy and 2 others reacted to this

Thank you for this sound advice because I was thinking of cutting a meal out. 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
magpie26 244 Posted September 7, 2018 I had a three week stall, and I think an 8 week stall (both fairly short) and now I'm in my worst one I have ever had, those other ones were annoying but this one is what the vets talk about. It totally happens, we do everything right and they happen. Don't worry, your body will get used to this and everything will be fine. 3 FatBlocker, Orchids&Dragons and Malcy reacted to this

I am 5 months post -op (sleeve) about week 4 i strayed the same weight about 2 weeks and then started losing steadily again. 5 months out and I'm still losing about 3 to 4lbs a week. Exercise is the key! I started off doing it 2-3 times a week and now I go to the gym 4 times a week. It also depends on how much you have to lose too. Heavier people like myself lose it a little faster. Don't worry! You got this! 😊 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
BlueCrush 408 Posted September 8, 2018 Absolutely. I'm up to about 2100 calories per day and STILL losing between 0.5-1lb per week. I've hit my goal weight and am trying to adjust up and add calories until I find my maintenance calories. 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
