Ok! So I see you being MUCH smaller than me and adorable--nah--beautiful!!! I will try to take a pic of me in the only skirt I have now. Also a thrift store find. Liz Claiborne $1 no sh*t. And the same shirt from the other pic cuz they go together. :) hahaha And you will see how much smaller you look!! BTW I heart the color of your room. It's so happy and full of light!!!

BTW? Mr. F. called and said he didn't want leftovers and that he's had a hard day and wants to go to our cheap Italian place for dins. So he told me I have 45 minutes to get the fork out of my PJs (um, yes, still in pjs from this morning--although did wash face and brush teeth).

I'm either going to have my $2.50 chickie boob side with a small Grk salad for $3.50 (I will bring my own WF dressing) OR I will have the $2.50 chickie and the $2.99 spinach with garlic or broccoli. :) I do sooo love eating cheap! And buying clothes cheap!!! Kinda interesting how 2.5hours ago, the thought of making another meal was anathema to me. And now I'm like, "Whah? I don't have to cook? Meh...I could eat!" *sigh* (and I wonder how I got to be 325lbs... :( )

Sigh, I have no one to tempt me lol...

That's a pic from the other day, my sister's spare room, the only place I take full body pics. My bedroom is minimalist empty

I know I have body dysmorphia because I see myself inaccurately , here I look huge, when I was huge I thought I wasn't that big. I know I need help lol

Question:

how many meals is everyone having per day (normally and while fasting)?

Really depends:

Travel days or working out of town - more of your typical structure on B-L-D. if I'm alone I'll usually skip Breakfast. No Snacks at all, breakfast might be a Protein Shake, if it's not a breakfast meeting

At home non IF - If I'm at home not doing IF that means it's a hungry day. I'll eat when I'm hungry, if the hunger doesn't pass after waiting it out. Can be 8 or so small meals/snacks (cucumbers, cheese, Jerky, all super simple stuff)

At home IF - can be as little as 2 Protein Shakes, or Protein Soup and shake, or it can be more, I'd say 2-4, but a lot of the meals will just to get in protein

At home I don't follow a B-L-D schedule at all, I'll just eat when I'm hungry. I've always been this way, even pre WLS.

Ok, sigh. so last night didn't go exactly as planned. LOL. Maybe I should post my days once their finished like the day after? Cuz I'm making a lot of on-the-fly modifications to the basic plan. I think I'll start doing that!

So I still had a down-ish day yesterday. I wasn't gonna eat but by the time we did eat at 8pm, I was ready, willing, and able. I "should" have done the grilled chicken and Greek salad. But noooooooooo. I ended up getting Chicken Saltimbocca with veggies and ate a stack of Caprese salad. Consequently, I'm up 1.4ish pounds today but meh...that's typical for me anytime I eat out or have salty stuff.

Today is another back-to-back down day (DD=500 cals) so I can have our true date night tomorrow. Don't know what we are gonna do yet. I hope to talk him into bowling or put put golf--something goofy. :) But depends on how hot it is, or if I can convince him to put his feet in rental shoes. :) :o

I'm not awake enough to plan my menu. That will have to come later. I'm just concentrating on my lovely Miralax with a side of Colace black coffee at the moment! :)

So here was yesterday's DD and the few pics I have. I always forget to snap a pic when at restaurants. I don't usually have my phone out. I will try to take a pic of the leftovers when I make them--which will be prolly be tomorrow since I have salmon lurking in the fridge threatening to go bad. And when good salmon goes bad...ain't nobody survivin the horror!

Good to know you're human. :P

This is the story of my life. Looking at a restaurant menu, knowing what I *should* order, then ordering what I really want instead.

Haha and the chicken Saltimbocca was totally a compromise cuz what I REALLY wanted was linguini with clams! But I haven't had Pasta in soooo very long and I was terrified it would make me sick from too many carbs at one time. Plus pack 4lbs of Water on my thighs. LOL

And yes, the bargaining. Oh the bargaining. At least I didn't have the wine that I wanted and went for iced tea like a good girl. But it was very difficult.

So beforethe end of my fast I tried to eat some yogurt, had about 1/8th a cup before I realized that it had expired while I was away. Couldn't tell but tossed it anyway, then I had a piece of turkey Jerky, nuts and seaweed Snacks.

Let's call that another 500cals lol I like to overshoot.

I play refrigerator roulette all the time. :) If it doesn't smell, isn't slimey, and doesn't taste "off" it goes in mah belleh regardless of expiration dates. :) You would not believe how long Fairlife FF milk lasts beyond the exp. date. It's pretty frightening to think about and it's one of the things that make you go, "Hmmmmm..." LOL

I love all of the above. :D

Or how long the shelf life of Fairlife is before the expiration, too. I just bought some that expires in NOVEMBER!

Expiration dates are like, worse case scenario. Items last well beyond them, assuming they're not stored in poor conditions. Most aren't expiration, they are best by dates.

Yogurt (and sour cream, etc. ) are already "spoiled", so at worst they will just become more sour. Fairlife is ultra pasteurized, so that faaaar extends the shelf life.

Ok current weight 161.4

went passed my doctor's office and decided to pop in for a weight since the next time would be October. Not surprised I had tons of salty foods and it will be that time of the month soon. But considering that I had cheesecake and Cookies and whatever else I wanted all labor day weekend during non fasting hours, albeit in small amounts, not bad...

Many don't know this about me but I'm a minimalist and a low/zero waste (goal) enthusiast

So this is my latest baby from Starbucks... This felt like the right thread to place it since I spend the majority of the day drinking teas.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
