Further evidence @greentealael and I are alternate universe versions of each other ... I detest matcha and not even embedding it in a rice crispy treat can make it palatable 😂

But what if it goes all right???
(if it's in powdered form and you plan to make hot tea, add a little hot Water to it first to make a smooth paste in the cup to prevent clumping, then slowly stir in the rest.)

Ooooh thanks. Everything on the packet is in Japanese (I think?) so I have no idea what to do with it except stir it into yoghurt and smoothies lol

Breakfast (Saving Matcha for mid-morning). :) I'll salute you then! :D

I love using hard fried egg + extra carton egg whites to make a taco!

It will also be my biggest meal of the day calorically. :) Couldn't do IF back to back today. Woke up starving. So will just do a calorie restricted day <700cals.

It makes me laugh to get this much food for 200 calories! I coulda done it for less by only using 1 slice of ham + an HEB light cheese wedge, but I needed to use up the Kraft cuz it's pretty old. :)

And I couldn't even eat most rice Krispy treats even if they were soaked in Matcha... curiouser and curiouser

Must acquire more evidence

Cheers Queen Matcha!

I'm sure I'm doing this wrong, but I added a squeeze of lemon and some vanilla liquid stevia. Better, but not as good as the Lemonade Crystal Lite Drink Stix sprinkle I used yesterday. :D

Nah, that's mostly Chinese with some Korean at the top (not that I have any idea what "goya powder" is).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
