Hahahaha! Am about to have a "cuppa" of golden Matcha latte! :) Gotta go schlep in the house! :) Have I told you, thanks for starting the IF stuff?!!! I honestly heart it. I HEART it! :)

I wish I could take credit for it's discovery (LOL, I could write med journal or two) i just stumbled on it one night, because I want to live forever... but I do wish the VETS that are doing it would chime in more often...

So day 1 failed xD I ended up having a dinner at 7pm because I was so darn hungry. My caloric intake ended up being 582 I believe.

So today, I switched it up to having eating hours between 11am-7pm so I can have a real dinner. And also not look like a weirdo to my mother who will be staying with me this weekend (lordhelpme). Being without food for a few hours in the morning really wasn't that bad, so I'm curious to see how the rest of the day goes. I know a grocery run is in my future. My meals today are consisting of Fiber Cereal, 2 Protein Shakes, and tuna with a little light mayo 😐 Protein goal is for sure met. Variety goal...not so much.

My sleeve doesn't tolerate many veggies. Tomato goes down ok. Asparagus did at one point. But no spinach, no lettuce, nothing leafy is tolerated. And I don't find much nutrition in veggies like corn or peas or whatnot :P

It took me quite a while to have lettuce again. Interestingly, I still don't eat much lettuce. I do have some but every day at work for lunch, I go to the salad bar and make a "salad" but it never includes lettuce! I use cucumbers, green and red peppers, red onions, sometimes a small piece of artichoke, but rarely lettuce. (I also have grilled chicken on it). I avoid corn and peas as much as possible since they are starchier though I do have a lot of carrots and celery with hummus.

I used to do this at the salad bar too! Mine would be more Protein heavy like diced ham, grilled chicken, hardboiled egg pieces, etc. But that's a good idea to load up on veggies like peppers. Cucumbers I haven't had good luck with. But it's always worth trying again.

I can't do much lettuce either, wilted spinach is okay. Cukes, radishes, Tomato, green Beans, etc all are ok.

Uh..have had a virus for 8 days now, no puking, no sore throat/coughing, just bone tired, fever/chills/sweats..

Turkey burger, cheese, tomato

Well that was fast....hit goal today—127! Now with fasting I’m aiming towards maybe 124, just to see what I can make of this! Healthy BMI chart says I can weigh a healthy 115-158 or something, so I might just put this fasting to the test!. With the new 11-7 hours it’s A LOT more manageable. Who knew dinner was so mentally important to me? 😂

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
