The first video literally said the only thing that matters is limiting your eating window. I mean in my fantasy world I'd love to be able to eat recklessly even if only for limited number of hours. But unfortunately that's not the real world.

You mean 4 straight hours of hot fudge sundaes isn't healthy? Damn! I thought I had it figured out! Guess I'll just throw myself out of my 4-hour window!

I find counting everything is s much easier these days with apps like My Fitness Pal. :)

But counting macros is just a different way of counting calories, since each gram has a fixed caloric value.

Do you think they mean for people who have not had metabolic surgeries? I've seen people like that do it without counting cals, just eating until satisfied,(they may eat differently then obese or once upon a time obese people) their metabolisms handled it well. IDK, what do y'all think?

What are y'alls thoughts on this?

Honestly, my first thought was "Did she have an allergic reaction to the tattoo?"

I had a hungry day yesterday, so I didn't do IF. But at least everything I ate was smart choices, so I'm ok with that. We'll see if my hunger monster is awake today, if it has taken the day off I'll do IF today.

@GreenTealael I'm super impressed you can fast on a travel day. My travel days are planes and airports and all the food available gets to me, every time.

I'm too lazy to try to find a decent food and clean bathroom where I'll be... If I eat , I'll need to use the bathroom shortly after. Lol, I'll eat tomorrow.

I'm in NYC, the struggle is real...

Oh yeah, for sure! When I would go up to the city for sales, I was always in fear of not finding a potty while I was schlepping down the street!

But ... all those fluids!?! :o

I almost never get my fluids in on travel days because of lack of bathroom access fear. Almost wetting your pants in an airplane seat once will do that to you!

Maybe it's just their metabolism? I mean we all know skinny people who eat like absolute crap?

So as a traveler ... McDonalds and Starbucks taking over the world has one benefit .... bathrooms!

I actually had to tell the flight attendant I was pregnant. Thank goodness I hadn't had any drinks that flight, or CPS would have been waiting for me at the gate.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
