BajanSleeve 244 Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) Hello ladies. I actually was on my period the day of my surgery but I had started to get sporadic periods prior to it - maybe every 2 or 3 months I would get my period. I am almost 49. I have not had a period since surgery which was 3 months 5 days ago whooooohooooo! Listen, I am not complaining. I am looking forward to menopause actually. But I just wondered if anyone in my age range experienced your period stopping after you had VSG. And if it stopped did it stop only for a certain period of time and then come back? Or did it go away and never come back ? The latter is what I am hoping for lol Edited September 2, 2018 by BajanSleeve

We will see if I get it this month (September). There are several posts on these boards about how such major surgery affects your cycle. I’d welcome never having my period again. photogirl70 142 Posted September 2, 2018 I was sleeved on 7/31 and I am 48. I had barely a 1 day period on 8/30 which was a few days late but usually I go for more than 1 day! We'll see what happens next month.
