I have seen people post about the Squatty Potty here and wanted to share that Aldi has a knock off version for $9.99 in store right now. Just wanted to share.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Squatty Potty! I have to caution that they do come in different heights and the height does matter, not only for the toilet in question, but for sitting angle as well. Very much a great little addition to the bathroom!

Might have to make me a trip to Aldi....

Question though @Matt Z do you keep your Squatty Potty out in the bathroom all the time? Or just when its time to do the business... I just wonder if it gets in the way?

It nests under the toilet pretty easy, it's out of the way unless you put it out from under the bowl kinda thing, never had any issues or complaints with it being stored under/in front of the toilet.

Oh, ok! I didn't realize it can be stored under the toilet. I'm going to check it out.

Thanks for the tip @SleeveinIL

My wife doesn't mind it in front of our toilet. All she asks is that I clean it and not her.

Does, she really need cleaning? I'm sure she is a very nice lady but I get a mental picture of you turning the garden hose on her.👩💦

I’m a Squatting Potty fan, too. I gave them out as Christmas gifts a couple years ago. Everyone laughed. The same people came to me later to tell me what a difference it has made in their lives. Yup. The Squatty Potty is no joke.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
