2 Week Liquid Diet -Millie's Sipping broth is life!

Recommended Posts

So I stared my 2 week liquid diet yesterday and I really did fine the first day. This morning I woke up and I'm starving and my mind keeps thinking about food and drifting off to....well if I cheat it's only day 2 so it will be fine. So I decided to try this Millie's sipping broth tortilla Soup that I order on Amazon. I read about it on here. I heated it up and it smelled great. It is actually pretty good on its own, but I added a chicken bouillon cube to it, and some pepper and it is delicious! It is warm and filling! I feeling like I can make it though again...at least until dinner time comes and I am starving again..lol Just wanted to share my tip for all those 2 week liquid dieters out there.

I found mixing lipton cup of Soup (less noodles) with BariWise (found on amazon) chicken soup mix was filling and provided the Protein I needed.

I did the same thing with cream of broccoli soup (strained). It was a way to get "real" flavor and my protein from liquids in.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
