You are probably out of surgery by now, so instead of best of luck, I will say, Wishing you a speedy recovery!

In a little over a week our positions will be changing, I then will be gowned and waiting for surgery and you will be on the outside looking in , cheering me on, telling me every little th8ng will be OK and it will be, because Surgery,Now is not the Big Bear Bugaboo it once was! Not like falling off a log because WHO wants to fall off a log anyway but pretty smooth and easy-like.Surgeon's do them everyday, if they were clumsy and uncoordinated, they were never have a line patients wanting them.

I will be watching for your posts as you give up your present life and reel in the reigns to get control. I cant wait for you to make up with your scale and after you apologize for past bad words aimed in its direction you will find it is now your best friend. The first time you can sit and actually cross your legs is a day to mark on the calendar too. Life is so different on the post surgery side. Welcome aboard very soon Frustr8. Take those pictures and measurements now. They will help you more than you would think they could while you make your journey. Best wishes and Good Luck.

Thank you @ skinnydreamer16. I will have Tomkitten take some, pictures. Now the measurements, that may not be for a day or two. I seem to have lost my 120 inch measuring tape. No silly I am not 120 inches around but portions of measure more than the 60 inch one I did find. Remember the shoemaker children not having shoes? Well this is like that, I used to work Fabrics and Crafts at Wally World. You would think I would have any number of sewing items, wouldn't you. My wise acre son says I can get dads metal tape out of the tool box, you could lay on the floor and roll back and forth. No don't think so, plus watching me get up off the floor would win of America' s Funniest Home Videos. Ain't pretty baby Ain't Pretty!-💇Picture of Tomkitten as I chase him🏃

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
