Thatsexy_67 32 Posted August 27, 2018 Hey everybody!!!! I have a quick question: what can I do for Protein other than Premier Protein Shakes!!! I am having the hardest time drinking those things now, they are horrible it's like drinking overly sweet chocolate milk. Any suggestions because it's hell trying to get one down now. Please help in Michigan lol 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
BetterLife2018 7 Posted August 27, 2018 The Light Start Carnation Instant Breakfasts are good and low in sugar! I hope that helps! 3 Frustr8, MassMom and Thatsexy_67 reacted to this
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted August 27, 2018 Protein waters aren't quite as sweet as the shakes. And you can dilute them even further if you want. I like Protein2O. 2 Thatsexy_67 and Frustr8 reacted to this
shoopmom 17 Posted August 27, 2018 I found "New Whey" drinks on Amazon. Different flavors, diluted with ice and it tastes like KoolAid. It has 42g of Protein, plus your liquid you mix it with! Win-win! 2 MassMom and Thatsexy_67 reacted to this
J San 1,071 Posted August 27, 2018 I feel like a broken record but I'll suggest it again. Try powdered Protein Shakes. You make them how you want, thick or watery and you can add things to them. I find them not nearly as sweet as the premier shakes even though I only tried one vanilla shake pre surgery. The main one I use is Body Fortress and I buy it at Walmart. It's like $17 for a 2lb container. Also like @Orchids&Dragons suggested, Protein2O drinks are great. 16.9oz towards your Water intake and 15g of Protein. 1 Thatsexy_67 reacted to this
teemags48 19 Posted August 27, 2018 I read on here to add the shake to Decaf coffee or tea,I tried. it and it does cut the sweetness. One thing about drinking the sweet shakes everyday I don't think I'll ever want to eat sweets again! 1 3 Thatsexy_67, fluffy562, Orchids&Dragons and 1 other reacted to this
3nuthut 32 Posted August 28, 2018 I take unflavored GENEPRO. I got it from Amazon and it’s 30 grams for a small scoop. I put it in my mug of chicken broth. You can put this in anything. I hate shakes!
sideeye 1,440 Posted August 28, 2018 Orgain chocolate is my go-to, specifically because I don't find it sweet.
Lrorrio 8 Posted August 28, 2018 Isopure clear Protein Drinks. One bottle has 40 grams of Protein & 160 calories. I bought them at GNC & they were buy 5 get 1 free. I also just bought Ghost brand powder in Peanut Butter Cereal milk, I haven’t tried it yet but several people I know love it.

Don't buy too many of the Isopures to begin with. I found that they left a gross film in my mouth. UGH!

Also lower in Protein and higher in Carbs (5g P and 12g C). I don't think this is a good choice.
BetterLife2018 7 Posted August 28, 2018 Also lower in Protein and higher in Carbs (5g P and 12g C). I don't think this is a good choice.I'm just going by what my doctor and nutritionist told me. I prefer the Premier Protein, but since that is not an option for this person, I was providing an alternative.
