LBDucky 6 Posted August 27, 2018 I see so many people on youtube measuring their food (the 2-3oz recommended) on a food scale. I have triple checked with my nutritinist and other resources which say to measure by volume. It makes sense right? I mean an ounce of something light can be quite a lot, when by volume its all the same. Am I missing something or is this just a common mistake? I really dont want to stretch my guts and I want to be successful and do everything proper. 1 J San reacted to this
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted August 27, 2018 You actually need to do both. In order to get your Protein numbers correct, that needs to be measured by weight. But then, make sure the entire volume of your meal doesn't exceed the "volume" number you want. For example, if you're only wanting to eat 1/2 cup of food/meal - weigh out the protein you want to eat, put it in the measuring cup, then fill the rest of the cup with your veggies/sides. Does that make sense? 4 3 FluffyChix, J San, FutureRN19 and 4 others reacted to this

J San 1,071 Posted August 27, 2018 Great question and great answer. I've only been measuring my Protein as directed by my plan but now that I'm cleared to try anything including veggies this is good to know. ThanX!! 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
MargoCL 677 Posted August 29, 2018 Thank you! That really explained it better than anyone could've done. I start pureed next week so it will be very helpful. 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
