rebchief 52 Posted August 24, 2018 Had the second go Wednesday. Doctor said all went good. No issues with BP. He thinks it was the lisinopril. Couple of questions: anyone have a fav app to keep up with Water consumption? When I drink cool fluids feeling a tightness as it goes down. Normal? 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
it'sonlythefirststep 141 Posted August 24, 2018 As surgery anything I drank had to be room temp. Nothing cold because it hurt. 5 months later I can drink cold drinks.

rebchief 52 Posted August 24, 2018 Day 2 post op and I am drinking broth and sugar free Jello. Drinking Water, G2 as well as a few sips of apple juice. afraid to drink too much. My doctor said he cut my stomach down to size of a plantain. He also did an endoscopy to make sure staples were good with the davinci robot.
rebchief 52 Posted August 24, 2018 Slept with body pillow on my side somewhat last night. Didn’t sleep great. Trying to avoid pain tabs if possible but have taken them at night. I’m finding that I’m having “mind” hunger vs physical hunger. Like I could go for a Krystal burger but not hungry for one. Hooefully go to yogurt, strained Soup, Protein Shake after day 4 according to post op plan.
YoungDad 1 Posted August 24, 2018 Had my surgery on the 21st with trouble sleeping at night. I laid down flat on my back with pillows under my head and my arms and felt like I slept better with the incisions. Being really adamant about your pain meds helps a lot, slept much better night 3 with a real medication schedule. I also took tylenol between the oxy or other pain meds they might give you. I have the same tightness when drinking G2, I have been walking around after I take a sip that I know will feel tight before it is painful and it definitely hurts less going down when walking. Excited to be 2 weeks post op with a lot less pain!
J San 1,071 Posted August 24, 2018 (edited) Congrats on a successful surgery. Glad all went well this time around. I had no issues with drinking, sorry I can't help you there. As far as sleeping, I slept in my recliner for the first week or so than I rigged an old sofa cushion to be able to sleep in bed. I cut the cushion on a diagonal and put my pillows on top of it so that I would be on an incline while sleeping on my back. I also put one of the back cushions from the sofa under my knees. This helps with my back pain and allows me to sleep more sound. Edited August 24, 2018 by J San
Vizslamom 92 Posted August 24, 2018 Congrats surgery twin! I'm focused on 60 grams of Protein and 60 ounces of Water. Using 2 premier pure protein for 60 grams of protein. Decaf coffee in the morning for liquids and drinking 2 tumblers to get me there.

rebchief 52 Posted August 24, 2018 My surgeon is actually fairly loose on his restrictions. I guess I’m just afraid to check the limits
