losingjusme 12 Posted November 9, 2007 i did not run today. i did scope out paths to go run tomorrow though. i found a nice one that i will be visiting tomorrow ... wooo hooo! Ddog and i just walked around and enjoyed the morning. will post about my run tomorrow.
losingjusme 12 Posted November 10, 2007 first outdoor run was a bust ... a combination of too many new things.. new shoes (tied too tight I think), new trail, trail with slight inclines, DH and DD were with me, too much of a distraction I think, I didnt properly stretch.. too many excuses. next time I need to just suck it up and run. I feel like crap that I couldn't do it. I did get a nice mile walk in, but that's not any consolation..
jmarruda 22 Posted November 10, 2007 Not that much of a bust though, if you think about it. Marathoners usually scope out where they'll be running prior to race day, so just think of it that way. You know what you need to do for next time, and you're going to push through like the trooper you are. I'm so excited for you. Just remember, get in some proper stretch time, laces not too tight, and there are going to be inclines, but there will also be downhill slopes too. Don't be too hard on yourself, you're doing great!
