jultrim18 132 Posted August 21, 2018 Hi! I was sleeved on Friday (8/17/18). I am just so hungry. However, I am craving like chicken breast and brown rice! I would do anything for real food! Tomorrow I get to start pudding and creamed soups! I am so very excited. Hopefully once I start eating normal food, I will no longer feel this weird sense of hunger. Anyone else feel this way? Am I just missing solids?

That's a major myth that needs to go away, the whole "get the surgery and never feel hungry"... some folks are lucky, and it doesn't go away, but most... either never lose it, or it comes back within a year. But, Yes when you start getting into the thicker foods, they'll hang around longer making you feel full longer. 1 Kaylee.char reacted to this
FancyChristine15 810 Posted August 21, 2018 Once you start eating real food again, you won't be as hungry! Hunger still does happen, but not like it used to.
Wintereyes 17 Posted August 21, 2018 I felt hunger after a week, although I think it was in my mind more than anything. 1 week to go until I go to puree, actually kinda nervous about that, I hope I don't gain.
josephsmom 25 Posted August 22, 2018 I did NOT have the experience of "no ghrelin=no hunger." I have been hungry all along. But it did get better when I began eating solid foods.
