Recommended Posts

Hi! I love Mederma for scars almost as much as I love a good deal on Ibotta! Ibotta has an amazing deal/rebate right now for Mederma cream. Check out my video for details on how you can get if for your weight loss surgery scars for either more than half off the price or if you're new to Ibotta, you can possibly even get paid to try out. :)

Before my surgery I used this product for scars and it seemed to work well, so thanks for the tip.

Glad to hear it. This stuff works amazing! I bought 2 bottles of it yesterday before the amazing deal expires.

What scars? I can barely find the incision sites for my bypass. All that remains are very faint lines. As for my pregnancy stretch marks, those are here, front and center. I guess having multiple ten-pounders will ruin any belly for life. Where was my scar cream then?:)

You are lucky, my scars are very noticeable. and I had 7 of them... I think this might because I got stapled vs glue.

Haha, that's funny. Glad you're healing so nicely! You are a lucky one.

Eeeek, I'm surprised they used staples on you. Ouch. There's lots of scar therapy options out there. Mederma has really helped me in the past so I'm hopeful it will do me good this time around. :)

P.S. - noticed your stats. You're doing SO amazing! 131 lbs. gone. WOW!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
