Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted August 19, 2018 Hi there. Six weeks post op (sleeved) and haven’t had my period in two months. I’m very regular normally. Not sexually active. Will speak with my MD about it next visit. 2 Beltran01 and Frustr8 reacted to this
KristinOlivia 35 Posted August 19, 2018 Same here. Sleeved in July. Period should have started day after surgery but it didn’t. PMS symptoms have been around since then (moodiness, cramps, headaches)... but still no period. I’m not too worried about it since I’m sure the shock of surgery and reduced food intake has a lot to do with it. 2 Beltran01 and Frustr8 reacted to this
lovelyj929 2 Posted August 20, 2018 Hey. I am 3 weeks out from having RNY. I had a period right before surgery for 2 weeks (eek), then another period the day AFTER surgery...AND STILL ON IT! I dont know what's up with that.Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Auroragirl4489 reacted to this
Frustr8 7,886 Posted August 20, 2018 Seems like 2 of the 3 in front of you are having it too. Weird FYI when they started Indian women on oral contraceptives they told then to start the pills on the first of the month, the Ganges River turned red from the women's monthly purification rituals. Its a documented fact!

Someday 42 Posted August 22, 2018 Mine came late and lasted longer than usual. The menstrual cycle is very attuned to trauma in the body and is reacting to what you just put yourself through. It'll be weird for a while, but things will go back to normal eventually.
magpie26 244 Posted August 24, 2018 I think this is completely normal. I have seen a lot of ladies talk about this. I had my surgery in April and I was VERY regular up until then but even up until three months out I was STILL horribly irregular. I think this has been the first month things have been normal. It's just your body freaking out is basically what my doctor said
MargoCL 677 Posted August 26, 2018 Thanks for this post... mine started 2 days b4 surgery (8/20) and it's still going on. I'm hoping it's just the stress of the surgery and everything as this is the longest it's lasted in 10 years.
