Hello everyone !!

So I had my surgery on August 6 in San Diego , I’m feeling good but in the last couple of days I’ve been feeling a little tired. My incisions are basically healed and during this whole process I did not require any narcotics, only Tylenol , but at this point I have no pain/soreness . I have resumed my walking and stairs , I just need to build my endurance. I started B12 yesterday so hopefully it starts to work soon . I’m doing my best with my Water and Protein Shakes , but I cannot tolerate the broth, so I’ll continue to work on that 😬. Btw I had the sleeve and so far I’m happy with the weight loss results , I’ll list my stats below

Highest weight: 336 lbs

Pre surgery weight : 298

current weight : 281

my goal weight is 190

ithanks everyone for all of your support

Im 5’6

Congrats!! That's great that you are feeling so good this early out. I stopped my pain meds (tylenol with codeine) 3 days post op, 2nd day home. I did take them a few times after for back and joint pain (nothing to do with WLS) because it worked so well for it. I wonder why you cannot tolerate the broth, is it a taste thing? Hope it doesn't last long.

Yeah no meds , the only discomfort I had was the gas , and pretty much walking was the solution , I am definitely grateful things went so smooth, I just gotta get more energy , but I’m listening to my body and just resting when my body says rest , thanks for your well wishes

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
