SRP1985 16 Posted August 15, 2018 I’m 2 weeks post op from gastric bypass? My NUT told me I’d probably only be able to eat 2 bites?!? I’m eating more than that. How do I know I’m full? I don’t want to screw up this whole process 😥

I don’t want to screw up this whole process 😥 If you don't have a signal (I never did until it was too late) try to never eat past the recommended amount for your stage example 1/8cup, 1/4cup, etc... NYJenn 1,463 Posted August 16, 2018 I don’t know either until it’s too late (5 weeks out) so I stick to the recommended amounts (1/4-1/2 c)
AtlantaRed 651 Posted August 17, 2018 I don't necessarily feel full either. However, we shouldn't be aiming for full. You don't want to stretch anything. We should be aiming for satisfied. I don't really feel anything. So as suggested, I measure my food and only eat that. The times I think nbn I feel full, the feeling is in my chest. I'm happy because I don't have a gratifying feeling from eating anymore. I have an "I ate" feeling.
SRP1985 16 Posted August 17, 2018 I’ve never had a full feeling that’s why I was concerned just my NUT said 2 bites of course I wasn’t thinking her two bites and mine weren’t the same lol. I’m using baby spoons. I’ve started measuring everything and never eat more than a 1/4 of a cup and sometimes stop before that if I get a tight feeling in my chest. Thanks everyone!
