Loosing weight after pregnancy with gastric sleeve

Recommended Posts

I had my sleeve done in 2016 and lost 112lbs. At almost exactly 2 years post op I found out I was pregnant (was a huge surprise). Recently I just delivered I gained 54lbs when pregnant. I have lost 10lbs, I'm breastfeeding and only 2 week out from delivery. It's my first and last baby I'll ever had. I don't know what is normal to expect after having a child. Like I lost 10lbs but recently gained 2lbs back. Is fluctuating normal a few weeks after having a baby.. also when is it safe for me to go back to a liquid diet? As I said I'm breastfeeding and don't want to effect that. Any diet plans from other sleevers that I can follow that have breastfed. Everyone keeps telling me now is not the time to try and diet that I should wait a month or two. However having an unexpected pregnancy and gaining weight I had just recently lost is taking a toll on me and I'm ready to get back to seeing my scale move downward again.

Congrats on the safe pregnancy and delivery!!!!

The more liquids in you the more breast milk you'll produce, however limiting calories too much may not be the best plan because you will have a very hard time keeping up with life (and a new born) on low energy

I've seen a lot of people on social media (Instagram etc) go super hard with their plans being extremely aware/routine and loosing the baby weight. Eating Protein , dairy and vegetables

Nothing else

Safe Journey again !
