Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted August 12, 2018 Hi all. Today was a milestone for me. Had sleeve surgery July 10th and today was my first big family get together. Lots of family and food. I am proud of myself. Asked ahead of time for chicken and veges I could eat. Stayed away from hamburgers and hot dogs and birthday cake. Not easy but I did it. 5 1 BeeCat, GreenTealael, sillykitty and 3 others reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted August 12, 2018 Congrats! That's the exact coping skills we need, because food's not going to go away, we just need to be able to make good choices!

Frustr8 7,886 Posted August 14, 2018 survived my 55th class reunion with no hot steaming freshly baked yeast rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy, whipped cream frosted cupcakes, Cappuccino and a giant frosted school colors cake with a giant 1963 in the middle, that one was easy-- it was chocolate and, orange marbled anyway. Our school colors were orange and black, so the closest they could come? And there were 80 out of the 100 still surviving so it had its own table! Nicer cloth than the dining ones that had orange tablecloths. Somewhere a bolt of broadcloth died for this party! First time recently being allergic to chocolate worked to my benefit.👍😛
