No trouble sleeping, actually sleeping at least 4 hours at a time, and wearing my cpap machine.

The only reason I sleep at night is because I do not sleep during the day and I am always doing something during the day to keep both my body and my mind occupied. So when I go to bed I am exhausted.😴

Not cat napping, but not able to sleep much. I'm yawning and ready for bed at 10 pm, but when I actually lie down and get comfortable it's just tossing and turning for at least an hour, then awake at 5 am. I think tonight I'm going to try having a warm shower before I get into bed and maybe some chamomile tea around 9 instead of Water.

I'm 2 weeks post op today and last night was the first full night's sleep. I remember at the beginning how uncomfortable it was and i needed to nap in the day because of the lack of sleep at night.
What i found helpful was putting a pillow under my knees when i was laying on my back...it took the strain and stretched feeling away from my stomach. I had another pillow i hugged when i tried to lay on my side...another way to take the weight off my stomach. It really helped

Before the sleeve I was only able to sleep 4 hours. Then I found this supplement at Earth Fare supermarket for around 19.00 and it worked for me. Took about 4 days for it to kick in. But I took it just before bedtime and it seems to straighten my system out. I hope this will work for you also.

While I do know itching is a sign of healing for an incision the rash is concerning. Hopefully you will find out why or what is causing the rash today.

Hello everyone,

I had my bypass on Sept 24th and I had a doctor follow up this week and he stated I can start eggs. So this next morning, Wednesday I had 1 scrambled egg and I couldn't finish because I started having this feeling like it was stuck in my chest, not tightening of my chest but stuck. I walked around for a few mins then drank some Water after 30 mins same feeling with water. It been happening with everything except for popsicles. So I have not been consuming too much because of the feeling. Anyone experiencing this?

I am darker but mine look about the same. the incision is fine with some darkness around them. They are itchy but not horribly itchy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
