sillykitty 10,776 Posted August 9, 2018 Do you log your food? You lose weight in the kitchen, not in the gym, the saying goes.... 4 1 Chunkysoup, Jingle123423, _Shane_ and 2 others reacted to this
BriWLS 12 Posted August 9, 2018 Yeah I log my food and I have a calorie tracker app and I don’t even go over the calorie intake, I’m under. Have you ever had a plateau and if so what did you guys do to get past it?

No matter what, you can't violate the laws of thermodynamics. If calories in is less than calories used, she'll lose weight. 2 Frustr8 and sillykitty reacted to this

BriWLS 12 Posted August 9, 2018 1200 my fitness pal but I don’t intake that much and counting calories I burn from the cardio exercise I just don’t understand 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted August 9, 2018 (edited) Unfortunately your metabolism may have slowed and 1200 is around you BMR, and that's why you're not losing. I have no experience with this, since I'm in my honeymoon loss phase right now. But I'd start over. Do a couple of weeks of liquid diet, and then move on to Protein rich foods. You'll need to find where the scale starts moving again. _Shane_ 63 Posted August 9, 2018 I agree with SillyKitty with the back-to-basics liquid diet for a few weeks. Also, if you're not losing with 1,200 calories, you're going to have to go lower. If it were me, I'd try 800 calories a day - and make sure you're honest with yourself about those calorie counts. 3 BostonWLKC, sillykitty and ProudGrammy reacted to this
BostonWLKC 807 Posted August 9, 2018 Definitely cut out all of the extras like ice creams and nuts if you’re looking to drop calories. I’d agree with going back to liquids and or high Proteins only

What are you eating? Carbs as in bread and Pasta or carb counts (macros) ? You may need to reconnect with your team for a revised plan and do a bit of research to get over this hurdle. Google (scholar) and YouTube (Doctors,NUT,Trainers) can be great resources Research glycogenolysis, gluconeogenesis, lipolysis, and ketogenesis. 2 Jingle123423 and ProudGrammy reacted to this
BriWLS 12 Posted August 9, 2018 No carbs if I do have any carbs it would be oat meal in the morning occasionally. I might go check my thyroid I may have hypothyroidism maybe that explains the poor metabolism ...
BriWLS 12 Posted August 9, 2018 Thanks for the feed back everyone. I’ll try the liquid diet and see how it goes
