newmebithebypass 713 Posted August 5, 2018 Ok y’all so like I’m always asking questions and answering when I have the ability to. But has anyone gone back to school later in life like 27ish for their first undergrad degree after this surgery. By the time I have classes I’ll be about 6 months out I’ll also be working so do you think my energy will be back by then I mean like before I gained 100 pounds lol. Because I was able to do an 18 hour shift before and not blink twice so guys chime in

Mattymatt 491 Posted August 5, 2018 6 months is considered the time frame to being fully healed from surgery! You should be just fine.
KimTriesRNY 1,853 Posted August 5, 2018 I went back to school at 28. You’ll be just fine.
Bryn910 519 Posted August 5, 2018 You should be good to go after 6 months. I am sure you’ll have more than enough energy. Good luck!
tihaitien 12 Posted August 5, 2018 You will be fine. Make sure you do two things well: Get enough sleep and prep your meals. 1 BostonWLKC reacted to this
CyclicalLoser 155 Posted August 5, 2018 I don't know what degree you are going for, but should it work out, you can check out some online colleges. I did my undergrad at WGU and finished my Masters at Champlain University in December of last year (Quite a bit older than 27 LOL). WGU is extremely cheap, Champlain is exactly the opposite. Both of the schools did not have "live" classes, so you could work around bad days and so forth.
