Favorite Liver shrinking diet foods

My liver diet was very strict. 4 Protein Drinks a day (brand specific too) and half cup of vegetables (from a list of 6 to pick from) that’s it. This was hardest part of surgery for me. Smells from family & coworkers lunches/dinners was excruciating. I basically stayed away from everyone during those 10 days

What 6 vegetable, could you have? Basically I can have any, probably, will cook or broil as I need them softened, just no corn, peas, or potatoes.

I'm so jealous of those who can eat veggies on the pre-op diet. Mine only allows liquids. Hope I can stay strong and sane.

What do you plan to say if your girlfriends notice that you've lost close to 50lbs? Are you going to make up something or tell them the truth?

Are you afraid of what others will say and you really don't welcome their opinions? Some people can say the most thoughtless of things.

Here is a screen shot of mine

I found this Thai culinary stock that I’d use to cook my vegetables in...it had great flavor & just enough heat (med is too hot for me). It helped satisfy my urges for change & flavor

It’s a store brand from local grocery store

Is it a national brand store offering or just a local market? It looks and sounds so good.🍮

It's an east coast grocery chain. I could not find a way to purchase it online.

There are on Virginia, MD , NY , MA and think either New Jersey or Pennsylvania, so see I don't have any Wegmans either. I don't even have Meijer or Giant 3agle, there are at least 30 miles away. I have. Krogers, Wal-Mart and an IGA and we have 20,000 people population.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
