ChloeSleeved 2 Posted August 1, 2018 I'm only a week out from my surgery and obviously haven't seen any signs of Hair loss, but it's something I'm not looking forward to when did you start noticing your hair loss?Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,439 Posted August 1, 2018 Google Telogen Effluvium and WLS for some common stories, info etc. Its going to vary widely but usually not immediately after surgery, it takes a few weeks to months to manifest, if its going to happen. Safe Journey!!! 3 Leia, Frustr8 and sillykitty reacted to this

YeahOkay31 651 Posted August 2, 2018 Mine started about 2 weeks ago @ 10 weeks after surgery. Getting it chopped off soon. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
TexasMommy80 297 Posted August 2, 2018 Mine started about 2 weeks ago, and 3.5 months out. I have very thin and fine hair as it is, so it doesn't make me happy. Saying that, while I am shedding more, it is more of an annoyance and not enough to make me worry about going bald. I think for many of us, it is something we notice far more than anyone else.Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app 3 Hellie1028, BurBur and Frustr8 reacted to this

Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app Over 4 months out... still no Hair loss. Not everyone has to deal with this for whatever reason. I didn't do much of anything differently than most folks do, I took Biotin for a few months before surgery and I still take it daily. That's really the ONLY thing I did specifically for hair. But others have done the same and had issues. So it's a gamble if it'll even happen to you. 3 BurBur, Frustr8 and Leia reacted to this
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted August 3, 2018 Mine started around 3 month mark. I was really starting to get worried about the Hair loss. I mean, my hair is already fine and thin. I really can't stand to lose too much without it being kind of noticeable. In the last couple of days, I've noticed less and less coming out after I wash. I'm hoping I've seen the worst of it, I can kind of see my scalp! 2 Sleeved36 and Frustr8 reacted to this

sillykitty 10,776 Posted August 4, 2018 Mine started about 3 months, and just seems to have slowed dramatically, and/or stopped, right around 5 months. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
Losebig 508 Posted August 4, 2018 No Hair loss for me (I’m past when it occurs). My nutritionist thought it was because I always exceeded my Protein goal and never missed a supplement. 2 MargoCL and Frustr8 reacted to this
