The problem with taking the kids stuff is that it gets really expensive. You take about half the bottle. If you can get the pharmacy to order it, that's your best bet. I get a good sized bottle for about $5. ~Mandy

liquid Tylenol is THE BOMB. Great stuff. It is NOT childrens Tylenol. I had my surgury 6 months ago and it was all I needed. Had knee surgery 2 weeks ago and its all I used again. I found it in Genardies Supermarkets only.

So, after reading all these posts, I've been searching for the Liquid Tylenol (Walmart, Kroger, K-Mart, etc...) no luck.:cry

So, tonight, I'm in Kroger just to pick up Milk. I'm at the check-out counter. Put my milk on the counter, look up at the magazine racks, and low and behold...

No, could it be? Is this the Elixer of Life I've been searching for all week?

My Gosh - It is...someone had picked it up somewhere else in the store, and while checking out decided NOT to purchase it, and stuck it in the magazine rack (you know, we've all done that when we check out and think..."Do I really need this?? Nah...").

Well, there it was, just waiting for me! Needless to say, "It's mine...All mine!!":clap2::heh::heh::whoo:

i never heard about needing liquid tylenol what is it for????
Headaches, minor pains, etc. Basically anything regular Tylenol is needed for. Most bandsters at restriction cannot (or are unwilling to try!) pass pills. So your options become to crush them and deal with the taste/discomfort/etc., or to find a liquid alternative.

Bandsters heart.gifelixirs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
