mschmeltz 0 Posted July 31, 2018 Does anyone still get sick from drinking plain Water? I’m about 6 weeks out and whenever I drink water it makes me very nauseous.

I personally never did get sick from water. But I know LOTS of people have, some of which still can't drink plain water. Try adjusting the temp if you haven't, some folks can't do cold, some can't do hot, some can't do unflavored. Experiment to find out what works for you, but it is pretty common for folks to have "texture" or "flavor" issues with water.
k_nephew 3 Posted July 31, 2018 Does anyone still get sick from drinking plain Water? I’m about 6 weeks out and whenever I drink Water it makes me very nauseous. I am about 7 weeks post op and just last weekend I was finally able to drink plain water without feeling sick. It came after an extremely hard workout and the flavored water made me nauseous and I drank regular without issue! Definitely try different temps (room temperature to slightly cool works best for me, cold is a no go lol)Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
GreenTealael 25,443 Posted July 31, 2018 I do, not necessarily plain Water but type of water. Low quality water I cannot tolerate. The more mineral enhanced, foreign, alkaline, etc. the better for me. No clue why. I jokingly said that I have a celebrity sleeve. Lol. Try different types of waters. 2 IsabellasBlues and mschmeltz reacted to this
Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted December 3, 2018 I haven’t been able to tolerate plain Water since I was sleeved on July 10th. Makes me very nauseous. I have to use crystal light to flavor or it will come back up.
