LL44 8 Posted July 29, 2018 I am 4 days post-op & really struggling with the flavour/texture of the chewable vitamins (Centrum multi & Life brand Calcium Citrate)... I pretty much start gagging the minute I put it into my mouth. My #1 greatest fear is throwing up. Any recommendations or ideas? 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
LL44 8 Posted July 29, 2018 I just saw the PatchMD Multi-Vitamin patch & the Calcium chewies... any recommendations? 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

DeanaNJ 25 Posted July 29, 2018 My nutritionist said no to patches! Flintstone chewables aren’t bad at all! I had RNY 2 Apr. Switching to pills for Calcium because I can’t tolerate any of the chewables I found! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
BeeCat 99 Posted July 29, 2018 I like the Bariatric Advantage chewables. I bought the Calcium and Vitamins, they are like Starburst chews and taste great! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
QTRNY2018 23 Posted July 30, 2018 (edited) I am taking Bariatric Fusion chewables. They are mixed berry flavor. I haven’t had chewable vitamins since I was a kid but I don’t think they are too bad. I take 4 a day though. Edited July 30, 2018 by QTRNY2018 Misspelling 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
CyclicalLoser 155 Posted July 30, 2018 I was told I had a few choices, an Unjury product, a Bariatric Advantage product, or the Celebrate product. I'm taking the watermelon flavored Vitamin by celebrate and it tastes bad. Not terrible, but definitely bad. I need to look into those fusions...I think they specified a gastric bypass specific one. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
RapidFirePickle 119 Posted July 30, 2018 I use Bariatric Advantage Multivitamins and Vit. D with Calcium, and I have their chewable Iron/Vit. C. I get sublingual B12 at the grocery store. I like the taste of all of mine.
djvalade 26 Posted July 30, 2018 Check out Bariatric Fusion! It is one of only a few complete Vitamins that includes Calcium, B12 and the required mix of vitamins and minerals. It's available in 5 or 6 flavored tabs. It is taken 4 times a day. I had my Gastric bypass RNY surgery on May 2, 2018 and I've been very satisfied with this product! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
AshMarie794 164 Posted July 30, 2018 Bariatric Advantage chewy bites are AMAZING. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
LL44 8 Posted July 30, 2018 Thanks everyone...I have my post-op appt in 2 days so am going to run these options by them. I am also going to ask about Vitamin D... I haven't taken any yet bc I am afraid the taste will make me gag/vomit. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
passportx2 8 Posted July 31, 2018 I am using Bariatric Advantage dark cherry chews. As far as Vitamins go it is the best tasting so far and I have tried about 5 different ones. My nutritionist said after the first month no more flintstones as they do not have everything your body needs but they are fine for the first few weeks. 2 Frustr8 and MarinaGirl reacted to this
AshMarie794 164 Posted July 31, 2018 @passportx2 same here. Those taste so good. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
singerliny 4 Posted July 31, 2018 Try... Celebrate Essential Multi 2 in 1. Mango flavor tastes good. It is a Vitamin specific for Gastric Bypass, 4 chewables per day. Expensive but doesn't taste bad at all. Has the Multivitamin, Vitamin D and calcium citrate in one product. I like that they sell things in "day supply" format too. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
singerliny 4 Posted July 31, 2018 ... Also has tons of B12 in each chewable. The only thing you might have to supplement on the side would be Iron if recommended by doctor. The iron would need to be taken 2 hours apart from the Celebrate.< /p>
