Born in Missouri 1,264 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) I found a few links to help you get started. I would recommend searching under "strength training" / "weight training" / "resistance training" AND "bariatric surgery" on Google or another search engine. https://www.livestrong.com/article/373100-how-to-build-muscle-after-gastric-bypass/ https://renewbariatrics.com/weight-loss/exercise/strength-training/ A past discussion on this forum: It shouldn't matter that this is about a woman's journey. It's all good. https://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/lyss-remaly-from-bariatric-surgery-to-bodybuilding.html Edited July 29, 2018 by Missouri-Lee's Summit 1 George OG reacted to this
George OG 73 Posted July 29, 2018 @Missouri-Lee's Summit thank you.The next time I see my gastric team I’m going to see if they will print out my metric.I have been tested for cancer, autoimmune diseases etc.The only thing they can suggest is a lot of my weight issues are stress related. And I know I could do a better job at eating better food, but that’s a whole story in itself😂
Born in Missouri 1,264 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) What's your barrier to eating better food? If it's financial, I'm sure there are many ways to cut corners and still enjoy healthy meals. I used to live in Wisconsin, but I'm not familiar with your city. Are you far from grocery stores? Do you have a garden? Are you able to afford your Vitamins? (If you have to choose between food and your vitamins because you can't afford both, I might be able to help you with your vitamins.) Born in Missouri 1,264 Posted August 1, 2018 (edited) I was serious about helping you get the Vitamins you need. Let me know if your circumstances change. A lot of women can't cook either. I'm not one of those women, but I know several. Maybe the people on this forum can suggest some very healthy meals that don't require much cooking knowledge. It's worth a try, right? I hesitate to say this because I don't know how the breakup is affecting your son, but based on what you've shared so far, you're both (you and your son) better off. Do you expect to get full custody? All that money your soon-to-be ex spent on a video game can't look very good to a judge. GreenTealael 25,430 Posted August 1, 2018 I will suggest buying a crockpot , and looking up meals for it. You basically put everything in and set it- come home to good food . But YouTube is also a great place to go for free training advice on how to get started with a program. 1 George OG reacted to this
George OG 73 Posted August 1, 2018 @Missouri-Lee's Summit I’m just in the morning process of starting to save up for the retainer now.,it’s 3500.Yes I do expect to get sole custody. Her mom will come and testify on the facts.I just wish I could get this over with.It sucks being alone. 1 clsumrall reacted to this

Born in Missouri 1,264 Posted August 2, 2018 @George OG Am I assuming correctly that your (soon-to-be ex) mother-in-law is planning to testify against her daughter?

Matt Z 4,139 Posted August 2, 2018 @George OG for muscle growth you really don't need to hammer down the Proteins, you just need to be a bit smarter about them. Casein Protein taken at night, is a slow acting protein that helps repair and build muscle mass overnight while you sleep.< br /> For muscle growth, find out what your 1 rep max is, just like it sounds, this is the max amount of weight you can only lift once and that's it. If you can lift it twice, that's not your 1 rep max weight. Once you know what your max is for that body part, reduce it by 20% and do 8-12 reps, 4 sets. Growth takes time though, but if you keep up with this method, you'll gain mass. There are lots of other different types of sets you can do, but if you focus mainly on doing 8-12 reps at 80% of your max for 4 sets... you'll be good. Don't worry about anything else extra for your intake, outside from lots and lots of Water. 1 George OG reacted to this
