Plucky 24 Posted July 28, 2018 Hi I was sleeved 7/24 and am trying to get prepared. I will be traveling on a mini vacation during what should be the beginning of the puree phase, I go to the doctor and the nutritionist in a few days, but I'm trying to plan ahead. The first 4 days will be staying with a relative, so I'll have access to a kitchen and am not worried. The second half will be at a small hotel with a microwave and fridge. Would it make sense to buy a portable blender, and a strainer or two? Eat in my room while my hubs and parents get real food :)? Any gadgets that will make life easier? Thanks in advance! 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted July 28, 2018 I think you're overthinking it. Staying in the room while everyone else goes out to eat sounds depressing. Enjoy your vacation, go out to dinner. There is always Soup on the menu, and most likely other things as well. Pack a stash of food that you can eat if you get hungry. Shelf stable hummus, unsweetened apple sauce cups, bring some Protein Powder and a shaker bottle. 2 1 thatch, GreenTealael and Plucky reacted to this
MissLindseyR 110 Posted July 31, 2018 It's not the best, but my family eats out a lot and I also travel with work. I tend to pack a lunchbox to take with me places. While I was on the liquid stage, I would pack my Protein Shakes and Jello and sit at Wendy's and eat with my family. And I travel for work too and just try to stay within my diet restrictions. 2 GreenTealael and Plucky reacted to this
