That is a shame GamePlan18, but now you don't have to wait as long,in the morning. And hopefully it will work, out for your surgery twin to have here a little later. If you notice,on the posting above there more surgery twins for you. Tomorrow is a popular day for surgery! Good luck and Good Healing. Update it when it is all over,

Happy and sad right now, they canceled my face to face surgery twin’s op because of a mix up with her meds and her selected surgery. So the docs office manager just called and told me they moved my time to her spot, so I will be reporting at 8am tomorrow for 10 am surgery instead of 12:30pm for 3pm. I’m so sad for her right now.
It's sad but at least they caught that discrepancy on time. Its major surgery and you want her to be good to go. You will do just fine. Prayers help alot. And to be honest with you I was so excited to be having it that I wasn't even nervous. You will do great! And so will she[emoji6] [emoji120]

Dont be. You dont want to raise your blood pressure. Trust in your choice, trust in your surgeon and his staff that all will be good because it will. Just listen to meditation music to keep your mind clear. You will be in good hands[emoji120]

I turn to the soundscapes music choice on my Spectrum Cable. Just listen to the music, close your eyes and let the music flow over you like a warm soothing stream. zrekax your fists, relax your toes and Judy sit. Works for me almost every time.

Hey everyone I made it through surgery. The 1st two days were rough, but I’m feeling much better now. I was supposed to go home yesterday but because I haven’t been drinking enough fluids I was made to stay another day. I’m working harder today to get enough liquids in.

CONGRATULATIONS on making it through surgery [emoji120] . Now the real journey begins. Stay focused. Do your walking every two hours but also remember to get rest so that you heal properly.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
