Bariatricguy03 5 Posted July 27, 2018 I was just sleeved monday morning at 8am. i have nit been able to drink many liquids because of the pain in the center of my abdomen. Above my navel. It feels right where my intestines would start after my new stomach ends. it is like painful pressure/blockage feeling as the liquid passes through, then a bunch of popping bubbles, then an occasional burp. is this just gas? Is this common? 1 logicwand reacted to this
logicwand 269 Posted July 27, 2018 I could not eat or drink anything after surgery without major stabbing pains/cramps in my abdomen. This lasted at least five days after surgery and gradually eased up over the days. I think by the second week it had vanished. My doctor didn't know what to tell me after checking everything out and it was fine. But I HAD to drink through the pain and it was awful. I would wince and hold my breath after every sip of Water. Thank god that's over!
jess9395 5,449 Posted July 27, 2018 I think that’s pretty common... I mean they cut everything open and stitched it back together... it’s a long swollen wound. It gets better little by little, promise! 2 Taoz and logicwand reacted to this
