Start of a Journey! (bazar weight issues)

So I had my appointment and talked to my doctor as well. My primary did many tests and what came up was very interesting so my pancreas is producing 3X as much insulin than needed. Meaning there is or was insulin resistance. I have the discoloration of the skin and other symptoms, sooooo… meaning all the extra is turning into fat instead of energy. Diet and exercise will NOT be enough to loose weight, as confirmed by my doctor. She has me on metformin to help regulate the production and it may help me loose some weight but the surgery is a good idea and my doctor is okay with it. Even though I thought about the surgery for over a year this confirmed that I will always have issues with my weight. So I'm starting my 6 month dietary program and thank god for my insurance its only $600 for the surgeon the hospital and the program fees. I hope this goes well! Anyone else with bazar health issues that effect their weight?
