Not a before and after, BUT! Been obsessed with these baked pretzel crisps and literally can’t stop eating them. They literally taste like thin crust pizza!

You know I like labneh (& am getting too lazy to make my own every time) but I found this one this morning. Yes, truffle. Can’t wait to taste it (have to finish a tub of one with fennel first). Christmas may have come early. Yum!

Last night, we had an early birthday dinner for my husband's birthday and he always wants to do a nice steak dinner. I actually tried Wagyu for the first time because you could get it by the ounce and I figured that would be perfect since I can only eat a little bit anyway. It was delicious!!!

It was also my first time having a cocktail while eating dinner. It went well but I didn't finish it and gave the rest to my husband. We also did family style sides so I could just eat what I wanted and we boxed up the leftovers.

I forgot to take pictures because it was so delicious! But I wanted to share anyway.

I made a turkey butt cake for family thanksgiving this past weekend.

Also used the rest of the cake batter to make cupcakes, then made cheesecake brownies, a pumpkin pie, a cheesecake pumpkin pie, apple pie sandwiches (pastry top par cooked and then the bottoms topped with pie filling and then par baked then topped and baked the rest of the way), Peanut Butter chocolate rice crisp treats, and my 12yr old made cake pop balls.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
