Super proud of my lunch earlier today. 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, spinach and mushrooms. 267 calories, 22g Protein, 5 net carbs.

dinner on the other hand? Sigh, ended up eating only half. Sesame soy sauce tofu with kimchi, zucchini, and scallions with gochujang (the carbs in this are insane!) for 192 calories, 9g protein and 8net carbs.

I did end up looking up several Keto gochujang recipes so I’ll probably make and use one of those instead.

Surprisingly yes! I woke up today (day 4) and felt SO much better. Tomorrow after an interview for a new position I’ll be meal prepping for my work week ahead (woohoo for mandatory rotating work weekends 😒🙄)

Weekly, I make a big pot of vegetable Soup that consists of okra, Asian eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, daikon, shiitake mushrooms and then I add cabbage, bok choy or spinach at the end. One cup is less than 50 calories. 20220717_142729.jpg

I’ve been looking for more daikon recipes. It’s definitely not like normal radishes. I think it stays crunchier.

Random food the last week(?) or so. All Keto. The mini Bagels also happen to be vegan! Cough @GreenTealael cough.

Also, I didn’t get that job I interviewed for but I wasn’t willing to take a pay cut either so. Their loss.

Photographed in the kitchen. That's why no baby seals.

That looks so good!
Did I miss the recipe?

I use Mama Sita's tamarind Soup base powder packet to make this Vegetable Sinigang and daikon is perfect in it. Roasted eggplant slices and okra go well in it too. I had read that the number one soup recipe in the world voted by the International food Database Taste Atlas was Sinigang so I started back then. It's usually a pork, beef or fish Sinigang but I just make a vegetable version and then add the Protein of my choice when I have a bowl of it.

Can I say I’m tired of all things vegan? Is that allowed? No? It has become increasingly difficult to cook three types of meals so I’m going to stop, again. 🤣

Sorry about the job but you’re right, their loss.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
