Honey garlic shrimp with sautéed sugar snap peas and cherry tomatoes. This one surprised me how quickly I filled up. I’ll probably finish the sides later with a little more Protein but this whole plate was only 110 calories?!

Snap and snow peas always fill me up quickly so I try and eat them last. Looks delicious though!

It looks like SO MUCH food on my tiny saucer, perspective is everything.

2.5 oz. New york strip with grilled onions, 1/8 cup cheese noodles made lighter, 3 brussel sprouts.

288 cals!

I already knew while making this salad that I wasn’t going to finish it, so i started with the croutons cuz I figured they would get all soggy if kept them for leftovers.

Which was sort of a mistake cuz I ended up getting full from them and didn’t get to eat very much of the other yummy salad components, duh.

The whole bowl is a whopping 739 calories (im looking at you, cashews, blue cheese & croutons!!)

I’ll end up eating it all by EOD, hopefully…

For my birthday eve dinner I took two Tasmanian friends to a fabulous restaurant that cooks over open fire (yes, more dining out). Thought I’d share these two mouthwatering dishes. Buttermilk waffle with a cheese, raisin & thyme purée - two bites size & I had one. And the most delicious side dish ever - cabbage with lacto Koji (fermented crème fraiche), buttermilk, cashews & dill. The crunchy burnt bits just seem to make everything more yummy. (And the low lightening makes everyone, especially those about to turn a year older, look gorgeous -lol!)

Had some corn i need to use up, so grilled up a few 1/2 cobs and made a raw corn salsa with other random item in the fridge.

Had one of the 1/2 cobs preceded with an espresso martini (not shown). 217 calories for both.

Heres a pic of the salsa and ingredient list…I didn’t have any yet…i’ll stick some on a salad later. The yield was about 2.5-3 cups and comes up to 499 cals is someone were to eat the whole bowl.

I am a month and 3 days out from my sleeve and this is my first post. Breakfast this morning. I don’t think I felt restriction, it just felt like I had enough.

It may take the “feel” of restriction time to kick in. But at least you could tell when you had enough.

I couldn't resist posting this picture I sent my husband yesterday when I made summer rolls for the first time. Long-timers on this thread can probably can spot why I couldn't resist. 😁

Someone tell me WHY I thought it was a great idea to do Keto for a while?! Keto flu is gonna kill me! The walnut bread is super dense but delicious toasted. 9g net carbs, 17g Protein. 18g fat. Excuse me while I now lie on the couch and regret my life choices to reduce carb intake.

Had a tub of soon to expire hummus in my fridge so decided to borrow a recipe from one of the restaurants I’ve been to lately.

Roasted cauliflower with hummus & dukkha but without the fancy drizzle of olive oil. I ended up adding more hummus & dukkha then in this pxt. I ate one piece with a lamb cutlet.

Thank you for the birthday wishes @Sophie7713.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
