Made a pork loin stir fry last night & these were the vegetables. They looked so delicious & colourful I couldn’t resist immortalising them. Added some shredded cabbage as well as my pretend noodles LOL. I think I’ll have enough for ten meals though. They’ll freeze. 😉

Okay, then - what time is dinner!? Looks amazing - fresh and colorful + I adore pork. So does Bobby! Roasted chicken leftovers on salad today... Ate ¼ - hubby had the rest for lunch topped with garlic + herbed roasted lentils.

It is very colorful! What “noodles” did you use?

I just shredded cabbage & told myself it was noodles. Lol! Works for zucchini noodles. 😁😁😁

Crabby Patty Salad! Or really, crabby patty puree' for one.

This is 2 ounces of imitation crab (aka the hot dog of the ocean) …

OMG I wish I’d thought of doing this when I was on purée stage. As a child I used to love eating those imitation crab sticks from the fish & chip shop at the beach. Battered & deep fried then of course.

I think I’ll be coming round to yours @Sophie7713 for dinner. That salad & then the ham & butter bean Soup yum.

French Toast using zero net carb bread

Every time I load this I’m always amazed by the calorie count. It also reminds me to skip things like this when eating out because the calories can easily be triple the amount.

pureed chicken Parm.

1.5 oz of canned chicken

2 TBSP fat free ricotta

2 teaspoons Tomato sauce

1 teaspoon grated parmesan

seasonings-i used a little salt and pepper, garlic powder, and basil.

Layer ingredients in a ramekin and either bake or air fry (I prefer the air fryer for the crispier parm texture) at 400 degrees for ten minutes.

Enjoy.

These are the worst garlic prawns ever. Bleack!!! (Not your prawns @kris77, they look delicious.) I usually buy cooked prawns & make a salad but due to poor supplies I have bought garlic raw prawns a couple of time. This week my only choice was this grocery store brand prawns. They were dry, tough & tasteless except for a synthetic chemical taste which I think was from the anti clumping agent they used. They also weigh 30g less than the name brand ones I had bought. You’re so lucky not to have these in your supermarkets. I’m going back to making my own garlic ones from raw prawns or just buying plain cooked ones. I’d bought two packs so these are going in the bin with the ones I prepped yesterday.

I was CRAVING Buffalo chicken and had these little plant based nuggets on hand. I air fried the potato, nuggets, added Buffalo sauce, some herb Ranch, and thinly sliced celery. My restriction has been intense lately so I'm trying to just do 1 meal a day I really want to eat and then shakes for the rest of the day , I notice I feel pretty satisfied that way. This was really delicious and went down smooth. About 10 grams of Protein in the nuggets, I also mixed nutritional yeast in the Ranch which has about 4 grams of protein. 20220527_160346.jpg 20220527_164724.jpg

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
