Your salads always look amazing, if you lived near me I would buy them from you! lol

I am almost ready to try salad again, I have eaten about every raw vegetable that I would want in a salad plus some. I just have went for the lettuce yet! That is next and then it is game on!

Went to Flavortown on the puréed express with some puréed rotisserie chicken with some Greek yogurt and a smidge of honey mustard. I topped it with some mashed avocado. I split this into two portions and had it for lunch and dinner yesterday.

Made a pork loin stir fry last night & these were the vegetables. They looked so delicious & colourful I couldn’t resist immortalising them. Added some shredded cabbage as well as my pretend noodles LOL. I think I’ll have enough for ten meals though. They’ll freeze. 😉

I will have to look into it. I was interested a while back but the small chamber size turned me away , I have teens and I would have to make batches and batches, so I took a hard pass. But I'm not in willing if the right one came around.

thanks!!!

Look into the pampered chef one. It versatile! Three trays for air fryer, dehydrator, little oven, and rotisserie. It’s a little more then Walmart small air fryer. I actually have both, but my pampered chef one is the best so far.

I love to cook so i'm finding all sorts of ways to get creative with the pureed foods! Its a bonus when my husband who can eat whatever he wants and lose weight says "that looks good" and then tries it!

I was actually gifted an airfryer in 2021 as a housewarming present and use it all the time now. I barely even use the regular oven anymore .

Crabby Patty Salad! Or really, crabby patty puree' for one.

This is 2 ounces of imitation crab (aka the hot dog of the ocean), flaked up really well, with a generous squirt of lemon juice, a few dashes of some Old Bay hot sauce, 2 teaspoons of non fat greek yogurt, and my favorite thing that I just discovered: Amazon's very own dill mustard. It's amazing.

Mixed all together and eaten with a fork. Next time, I might put it in a salad ring to feel ~fancy~.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
