I followed this recipe but used 1Tbsp vanilla instead of the other extracts and flavorings, swapped 1/2 cup of flour for cocoa powder, added 3Tbsp of Water (as the dough was crumbly for my climate) and folded/kneaded in 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips to half the dough (I split it to make 2 kinds of cookies). The recipe makes a LOT of Cookies (5 dozen!) if using a small cookie scoop. I also used the same recipe with the 1tbsp vanilla swap and 3Tbsp Water to make the blossoms, wreaths and the peppermint hot chocolate Cookies. (Multi purpose for the win!) You could easily swap the sugar in this for a sugar substitute as well. And it was vegan right up to the point I put an egg wash on 😩 GORGEOUS PIE!!!! You and Robert need to open a bakery together... 2 Arabesque and GreenTealael reacted to this

Starwarsandcupcakes 2,070 Posted December 21, 2021 Had salad for dinner with the sole intent to make edible Christmas trees (chocolate mousse stuffed sugar cones covered in frosting and candies) with the kids for dessert. Ended up eating the entire salad that I added a hard boiled egg to but half a tree was too much for me. Yes, I picked out all orange mini M&Ms and all yellow sweet tart balls. 2 Arabesque and GreenTealael reacted to this
Arabesque 7,414 Posted December 21, 2021 My niece stayed for a couple of nights & we made rissoles - basically meat balls served with a brown gravy. Of course you have to use your hands to mix in the diced celery, onion, grated carrot, egg & panko crumbs. Lots of fun as you can see by my niece’s smile (with an 8 yr old’s obligatory missing teeth 😉). No after pxts - I forgot ☹️. 2 GreenTealael and Starwarsandcupcakes reacted to this

Starwarsandcupcakes 2,070 Posted December 22, 2021 Someone brought home the Rona so most of my meals the past week have been easy or super easy (hence the salad yesterday) or I haven’t eaten much at all because I’m exhausted! Today was no different- chipotle pinto Beans and wheat toast. 240 calories total… and then another 140 for 8oz of nog (not overly sweet and I think it said less than 15g carbs per serving). 2 Arabesque and GreenTealael reacted to this

Starwarsandcupcakes 2,070 Posted December 25, 2021 Made a salad for dinner as I’ve been craving veggies and carbs the last week. Roasted bok choy and parsnip with bulgogi seasoning and avocado oil with pan fried veg’n chicken, romaine, hard boiled egg, and Italian dressing. calories was for the whole thing that I clearly didn’t eat. 2 GreenTealael and MarvelGirl25 reacted to this
Arabesque 7,414 Posted December 25, 2021 Merry Christmas from the Southern Hemisphere. Picture of the traditional Christmas dessert, well in my family anyway, pavlova. We also had steamed marmalade pudding, fruit salad, trifle, egg custard & jelly. (I had a little marmalade pudding, jelly & custard - my Christmas treat.) Have to admit the pavlova was a shop bought one but it was lovingly decorated with Chantilly cream & fresh fruit by my nephews (21 & 16) under close supervision of Nana. Think they did a damn good job. 6 mswillis5, MarvelGirl25, GreenTealael and 3 others reacted to this
Starwarsandcupcakes 2,070 Posted December 27, 2021 From yesterday- I made Nutella and strawberry jam stuffed baked donuts. I had half of a Nutella one. They were kind of on the bready side so I’ll have to adjust the recipe before I make them again. Christmas dinner was a beef roast with mushroom gravy a mini croissant, and spaghetti squash with marinara for me. No picture of the kids food but they also had green Beans with Italian dressing, mashed potatoes, mini croissants and spinach cheese tortellini with marinara for theirs. 3 Butterflyeffect, Arabesque and GreenTealael reacted to this
Meganator 41 Posted December 27, 2021 A little late Christmas dinner spread. Normally at home, I weigh & measure things- so this was one of my first times venturing into guesstimating territory. I picked the thinnest pork chop my mom sliced up (most were like an inch thick!). Green bean casserole, bell peppers/zucchinni, and a mac & cheese with bacon. This was my first try with Pasta anything and everything sat fine with me. I did cut up some pieces for a leftover meal. 5 Arabesque, Butterflyeffect, GreenTealael and 2 others reacted to this
