Went to a Turkish restaurant by myself for lunch today. The haydari (strained yogurt dip) and the vegetable stew were delicious but the Star of the show was definitely the keskul (rice and almond pudding) for dessert. I ended up eating most of it even though I was pretty full already. I did not take the leftover flatbreads or the rice home.

Made these roasted green Beans + almonds and potatoes slices from a leftover baked potato. Nice sides pre-made for the busy week ahead to go with a Protein.

This was officially the first time I had cereal/granola since surgery 3 yrs ago.

187 calories for the bowl shown.

it was actually kinda too sweet for me, but I haven’t eaten all day and I was pretty hungry. Ate enough to get rid of the “hungries”…am way behind on my grocery shopping these days so this is the best I could do. It was either this or Cookies or chips!

@GreenTealael I think your vegan at home would appreciate this meal (even with the brand of tofu I used labeled as chicken in Baritastic 😂).

If I had eaten it all it would’ve been 412 calories, 20g Protein, 20g carbs with 7g of Fiber, and a whopping 30g of fat which seems fitting as I got the recipes from a vegan Keto cookbook (the recipes are delicious!)

I might eat more of it later as I’m probably only sitting at 600 calories total for the day. 😞

Totally get it. I’m the only one in my house who eats tofu so I have to really want it to open it which is why I also buy the shelf stable kind so it lasts longer. 😂 For Breakfast tomorrow I’m going to take one of the pieces and scramble it with some veggies of some kind.

My husband found this at Walmart so I had to try it for lunch with my leftover kabobs from last night. Wasn’t bad at all. I know a lot of you like to make things from scratch but just a heads up for busy days.

Made some sautéed bay scallops with garlic and capers over spinach. Ended up still hungry so added some leftover stuffed mushrooms from earlier in the week.

Ended up eating it all.

Tonight's dinner! 2oz cod, 1oz green bean experiment, and 1oz sweet potato puffs. Couldn't finish it all, but it was tasty. Had it with my color-changing toddler spoon (matchbox for scale).

Good looking cod! How were the sweet potato puffs made?

I was kind of winging it. Peeled a small sweet potato, diced, and blended briefly. Prepped my baking sheet with a tiny bit of pam spread with a paper towel. Scooped them using a small baking scooper and tried forming them into something tater-tot like. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes (probably could be crispier longer).

I am finding my sweet tooth coming back like a vengeance after December surgery 2018. I'm definitely a Cookie Monster and love chips, too! Made homemade thinned sliced potatoes in 450 degree oven to satisfy craving without the salt, oil and preservatives. It must be the holiday season abundance of the treat mentality or new cool climate? And, if I take just a few bites to sample - it does not satisfy until I eat the whole piece of cake. Need to nip this in the bud. This is a good idea. Cereal. Try to reach out for a Protein with fibers + fruit. Any other suggestions that have helped you or anyone else?! Finding this holiday season especially challenging with too many indulgences... Oh boy. I can resist pecan pie. Just not a favorite. But any fruit pie, doughnut, breads, pastry, cake or chocolate LOOK OUT!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
